Exotic enigma of escapade
grazing a sparse flowerbed
<juxtaposing> this jungle
of weeds amid concrete
both confinement and freedom
from wild — to civilized
dust under hooves

stinging sultry sun
suffocating amid the unrelenting thirst
— and the grind
oh, did I mention the grind?
